This has got to be the worst-organized alleycat ever. I…
- worked out the route using google maps and outdated streetview photos rather than riding to and viewing each checkpoint in person
- spent more time (about 30 minutes) designing the flyer than doing anything else
- didn’t buy the prizes until AFTER the race started
- failed to buy the prizes from a small business
- spent slightly too much on prizes (luckily only £4 out of my own pocket, which is the same as everyone else paid to enter)
- didn’t clarify the rules or work out a points system beforehand. So I apologise to whoever was actually third
…and the winner got to the finish three minutes before I got there!

Nuff respect to all the riders. Even the ones who didn’t enter – nuff respect just for being there. Special thanks to Dave who helped me carry the (rather heavy) prizes from Tossco to the Flapper. And thanks a lot to Xander for the t-shirt, stickers and patch. And thanks to Mike for bringing extra pens.
If enough riders turn up next time I will try to spread prizes out more evenly, and sort at least one small prize out for every rider if possible. I will also try not to mess the whole thing up. Cheers!
